浮罗交怡位于马六甲海峡,是马来西亚吉打州海岸104个大小群岛中最大的一个。
浮羅交怡别譯蘭卡威、浪交怡、朗卡維、凌加衛島、呼羅交怡,古译龙牙菩提、龙牙交椅,位於馬六甲海峽,是馬來西亞吉打州海岸104個大小群島中最大的一個。浮羅交怡在檳城北方約112公里處,行政上屬於馬來西亞的吉打州,地理位置上靠近泰國。
浮羅交怡於1987年取得免稅港地位,如今島上的經濟以旅遊業為主要行業,是馬來西亚遊景點之一。
Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah (Malay: Langkawi Permata Kedah), is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. On 15 July 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah had consented to the change of name to Langkawi Permata Kedah in conjunction with his Golden Jubilee Celebration. By far the largest of the islands is the eponymous Langkawi Island with a population of some 64,792, the only other inhabited island being nearby Tuba Island. Langkawi is also an administrative district with the town of Kuah as largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island.

Langkawi Cable Car, also known as Langkawi SkyCab, is one of the major attractions in Langkawi Island, Kedah, Malaysia. It provides an aerial link from the Oriental Village at Teluk Burau to the peak of Gunung Machinchang, which is also the location of the Langkawi Sky Bridge. The total length is 2.2 km (1.4 mi), with a journey time from the base to the top of around 15 minutes. It was officially opened in 2003.

It is located to the north-west of the Langkawi International Airport, on the west coast of the main island of Langkawi. Kilim Karst Geoforest Park Langkawi, spanning almost 100 square kilometres, is noteworthy for mangrove swamps, pristine beaches, and vertical karstic hills jutting out towards the Andaman Sea. Set along the northeast tip of Langkawi Island, the park is accessible within a five-minute drive from Tanjung Rhu Beach. There’s a good variety of wildlife found in Kilim Karst Geoforest Park Langkawi, ranging from otters and monitor lizards to macaques and tree crabs hiding amongst the thick mangroves. During the migratory seasons (September to March), you can spot birdlife of varying species, including kingfishers, white-bellied fish eagles and kite eagles.

Pulau Payar Marine Park is a popular site for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts keen on exploring Langkawi’s undersea action. Just 30km south of the main island, it is about 45 minutes away from the Kuah jetty point and you can take either a catamaran or a speedboat to get here. Comprising four islands, the largest of which is Pulau Payar, and three smaller isles (Pulau Kaca, Pulau Lembu and Pulau Segantang). This marine park is spread over two nautical miles. None of these islands are inhabited and are strictly regulated by the Fisheries Department of Kedah to maintain their pristine condition.
